Terms of Service

Draft for review. This is a starting template and has not been reviewed by an attorney. Confirm every item in [brackets] — especially the refund and scrub policy — and have it reviewed by a lawyer before publishing.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of raptor-roost.com and your purchase of tickets to and attendance at events operated by Raptor Roost LLC (“Raptor Roost,” “we,” “us”). By purchasing a ticket or attending, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Experience
Raptor Roost provides access to a private launch-viewing venue near the Starbase launch site in South Texas, along with on-site amenities that may include camping/lodging, food, and entertainment. Amenities are subject to availability and change.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a ticket. Minors may attend only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for them and completes the waiver on their behalf.
3. Tickets, Bookings, and Payment
Ticket prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are charged at checkout through our payment processor, Stripe. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. All bookings are subject to these Terms and to availability.
4. Launch Schedule, Scrubs, and Delays
Launches are not controlled by Raptor Roost. Rocket launches are scheduled and operated by third parties and are frequently delayed, rescheduled, scrubbed, or canceled — often on short notice and for reasons outside our control (weather, technical holds, regulatory decisions, etc.). We do not guarantee that a launch will occur on any particular date or at all.
If a launch is delayed or scrubbed, [describe your policy — e.g., “your ticket remains valid and may be applied to a future launch event, subject to availability”]. [Confirm this policy with the owner.]
5. Refunds and Cancellations
[Insert your refund and cancellation policy here. Example starting language, to be confirmed: “All ticket sales are final. If Raptor Roost cancels an event entirely, you will be offered a rebooking for a future event or a refund. Delays or scrubs of the rocket launch itself are not grounds for a refund; see Section 4.”] This section must reflect the owner's actual policy and be reviewed before publishing.
6. Liability Waiver Required
Every guest — including a parent or guardian for each minor — must complete and sign our liability waiver before entering the property. Entry may be denied to anyone who has not signed the waiver, and no refund will be given for failure to complete it.
7. Conduct and Property Rules
While on the property, you agree to follow all posted rules and staff instructions, including our “pack in, pack out” waste policy. Raptor Roost is a dry-camping site; you are responsible for your own food and beverages. We may remove anyone whose conduct is unsafe or disruptive, without refund.
8. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability
Attending a launch-viewing event involves inherent risks, which you acknowledge and assume as described in the liability waiver. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Raptor Roost and its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your attendance. [Have counsel confirm the limitation-of-liability language.]
9. Media Release
Photography and video may be captured at events. By attending, you grant Raptor Roost the right to use images or recordings that include your likeness for promotional and marketing purposes, as further described in the waiver.
10. No Affiliation with SpaceX
Raptor Roost is an independent business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SpaceX or Space Exploration Technologies Corp.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and we will update the “Last updated” date above.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [insert county], Texas.
